As a student at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, I wrote for two publications. One was the university newspaper, The Spectator and the other was a student-led newsroom called Inside Eau Claire.

I was hired by The Spectator as a staff writer and then worked as a copy editor. There I covered a variety topics such as sports, government, opinion, arts and student life pieces.

At Inside Eau Claire, as Assistant City Editor, I was responsible for assigning stories to reporters, copy editing, helping engage social media and report my own weekly pieces. Prior to my final semester I also produced three long-form features that showcases my skills in profile, enterprise and investigative reporting.

Some of my reporting can be found here.
